Auditor Internal Lead - #32268 SV

WellPoint is the nation's leading health benefits company serving the needs of approximately 28 million medical members nationwide.Responsible for coordinating and directing operational/financial audit team in timely completion of deliverables of annual Master Audit Plan (MAP) and special projects. Reviews and provides effective feedback on audit deliverables developed by audit team. Essential duties to include, but are not limited to: Assists internal audit management in development of MAP, status reporting to executives. Assigns work to subordinates on specific audits, reviews their work and provides guidance and training. Develops auditing procedures that provide for the evaluation of the system of internal controls adopted within the business. Checks the accuracy and reliability of accounting data and monitors adherence to prescribed policies. Directs, counsels and instructs the auditors assigned to the team, reviews their work for sufficiency of scope and for accuracy. Performs written reports on the results of audits, including exceptions found and recommendations for corrective action to VP of Audit. Reviews audit reports and updates to audits. Performs other duties as assigned.BS/BA in Accounting or Finance required. 5 - 8 years of directly related work experience required. Excellent organizational and analytical skills required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.  Leadership/supervisory experience is desired.Experience with CAATS preferred.  (Computer Assisted Audit Techniques)
