Our superior financial strength and consistent record of strong operating returns mean security for our customers - and opportunities for our employees.  You will find Travelers to be full of energy and a workplace in which you truly can make a difference. We are currently looking for a Auto Appraiser - South Shore Weymouth.  Please read on for more details regarding this position. JOB DESCRIPTION: Basic Functions:***Manager will consider contract to regular status. Inspect and evaluate damaged automobiles, heavy equipment, boats and motorcycles; prepare damage estimates using company provided automated estimating systems. Responsibilities: - Control payout through proper usage of cost containment tools, i.e. LKQ and after market parts- Provide a high level of customer service throughout the claim process- Contact and establish rapport with all appropriate parties to obtain relevant information necessary to provide a high quality appraisal- Comply with CMR requirements- Maintain productivity by handling a workload consistent with current workload standards and assisting in other areas as needed- Comply with established time frame standards- Recognize subrogation and salvage opportunities as well as potential fraud issues and refer to the appropriate level Qualifications: - Massachusetts Appraisers License preferred but not required- High School Diploma required.  Associates Degree preferred.- Unrestricted valid motor vehicle driver’s license.- Knowledge of Massachusetts auto policy and claim process.- Knowledge of CMR and its applications in the appraisal process.- Computer skills- Excellent communication skills and customer service oriented.  AMERICAN WITH DISABILITIES ACT:Must be able to stoop, bend, crouch and climb, to ensure full vehicle damage assessment.Must be able to drive for extended periods of time. In addition to an exciting environment, we offer: * Competitive base salary with additional opportunities for variable pay through recognition programs and incentive awards * 401(k) with company match* Comprehensive health plans that include coverage for same sex/domestic partners* Strong work/family and employee assistance programs* Tuition reimbursement * Vacation Purchase Plan* Training/Development opportunities We are proud to provide comprehensive, high quality employee programs to meet employees' needs now and in the future, including a very competitive financial package.
