Safeco has an exciting opportunity for a customer focused and analytical individual to join our auto Field Claims team. As a Field Claims Examiner, you will: * Use your strong decision-making skills to investigate auto damage claims * Showcase your analytical skills to arrange and settle auto physical damage appraisals * Use your strong communication skills to secure information and educate the customer * Strengthen your multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment Territory to include some of following counties: Bronx, Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Putnam Dutchess and others. The ideal candidate must live within this territory. Experience preferred: * Multi-tasking and problem resolution of task assignments and customer concerns. * Proficient with damage analysis using the CCC Pathways estimating system. * Experience with damage analysis of commercial vehicles a PLUS. * Comfortable with working in a virtual environment. * Proficient at working in a windows-based environment and skilled in the use of MS Excel and Word. * Territory management of Auto assignments via inspection and business partner utilization. * Focused on delivering quality customer service to insured, claimants, body shops and co-workers. * Proficient at writing auto damage estimates and negotiating agreed costs of repair with auto repair facilities. * ASE certification and/or I-CAR Platinum status a plus.
