Auto Damage AppraiserAs an Auto Damage Appraiser, you will complete appraisals of damaged vehicles to restore the vehicles to their pre-damage condition. Appraisals can be performed at drive-in or field locations and involve completion of the appraisal for use by other claims personnel or issuance of checks to policyholders and/or claimants. Total loss opinions, independent re-inspections, and supplemental appraisals are daily features of the job. To be successful as an Auto Damage Appraiser, you will need strong written and oral communications skills, time management skills, and customer service skills. Knowledge of automobile parts and repair techniques, terminology and vehicle construction are also required.
