Benefits Administration Consultant National Benefits AdministrationWalnut Creek, CA A Benefits Administration Consultant at Kaiser Permanente analyzes and evaluates benefits administration business and/or system processes and functional requirements. They develop relationships with upstream and downstream business partners in benefits administration, while maintaining an understanding of the business processes of assigned partners and how they relate to KPs functional areas. If the challenge of pulling together multiple operational, technical and organizational components to meet the requirements of a wide range of enterprise-wide complex projects excites you, and you possess the appropriate set of knowledge and skills, consider the following opportunity.As a Benefits Administration Consultant you will also develop and recommend changes to benefits administration business processes; define the end-to-end scope for benefits administration; serve as the subject matter expert in benefit administration functions; and understand key sources of benefit information. You must identify key users and their requirements for benefit information; develop process workflows to facilitate requirements capture; establish common processes and procedures at each point throughout benefit administration; develop an inventory of benefit capabilities; and provide consultative advice and proposals to remedy gaps and identified inefficiencies. Additionally you will identify gaps/inefficiencies in benefits administration, opportunities to optimize benefit load efficiency and accuracy and sources of specific benefit information.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSYou must have a Bachelors degree in Business/Health Care Administration or a related discipline with knowledge of benefit and health plan administration5-7 years of related experience with 2 years in a project management and/or consulting role; and 5 years of experience in a health plan, medical group or claims environment. You must also have the ability to independently initiate, identify and coordinate the analysis of complex client needs.Kaiser Permanente offers exceptional benefits.
