The purpose of the department is to support the Allstate Agency Channel in its quest to become bigger, better and broader as it relates to financial services products. This position will have responsibility for providing strategic, analytic, and creative project management support to strategy and business development initiatives. Generally, this position has a two-fold function: to help prepare and analyze sales reports and to implement special projects. The sales reporting function requires the financial acumen necessary to quantify and analyze data and key channel measurements. The implementation of special projects requires the ability to partner with many of the supporting areas of responsibility, e.g., Product, Customer Service, Technology. Responsibilities Include Project management - responsible for managing overall pursuit, project management and project delivery including scope, timelines, resources, budget, risks and issues, relationships and communication. Analytic sales reporting Creation of Channel Dashboard Business intelligence, competitive tracking and benchmarking Support planning and modeling needs within Agency Distribution Implementation of special projects related to strategy and business development initiativesKnowledge and expertise should include: Advanced research and analysis skills (e.g., ability to efficiently gather data from secondary market sources; ability to aggregate and synthesize volumes of information from different sources and draw meaningful insights; ability to communicate insights in a high-impact manner); Advanced project management oversight skills (ability to coordinate, track and report on the multiple initiatives and strategies in the channel; Advanced project management capabilities (proven ability to manage multiple projects, flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, keen attention to detail); Advanced personal initiative (high level of motivation/self-starter; ability work independently as well as on teams and with people from all business areas); Intermediate oral and written communication skills (e.g., reports, presentations, etc.); Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including experience in creating “story-driving” PowerPoint presentations and some Excel modeling; Intellectual curiosity (a “possibility thinker”/having an “entrepreneurial mindset”); Intermediate knowledge of financial services products, channels, consumer trends and industry/competitive dynamics would be beneficial. Knowledge of the Allstate Agency channel or external insurance industry experience. For the Allstate Agency channel, a minimum of 3-4 years interacting with the channel in finance, sales, or operations capacity is preferred. For external industry experience, a minimum of 3-4 years is preferred.
