Business Consulting Manager

This person will assist in tracking and follow through on Broker Operations key initiatives, strategic planning for projects, coordination and drafting of communications/presentations, development and analysis of business information reports and metrics, ad hoc special projects requiring a high level of analytic skills. Manage a team of approximately four team members. Knowledge of system design issues and strong background in finance, accounting or business management preferred. Major Duties and Functions Include: Effectively strategize, plan, and deliver on business projects that lead to process changes and technology development that will reduce costs and improve business results. Streamline and reengineer key business processes. Develop and write policies and procedures for the Broker Operations team to ensure adequate controls exist and are operating effectively and efficiently. Assist in developing key business metrics and balanced scorecard to measure key business measures. Constantly evaluate business processes and procedures to identify opportunities to gain efficiencies. Make recommendations and implement changes. Develop new or revise existing methods, processes, and other operating arrangements; prepare recommendations to management which produce more effective, cost-efficient means of accomplishing work. Recommendations may include change in workflow, revision of forms, and/or changes to automated processes. Establish and maintain strong partnerships, and manage those partnerships with internal partners such as Legal, Compliance, Audit, Sales, IT, Broker Operations, etc. What You Need to Succeed: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Very strong writing skills are a must. Thorough, conscientious and detail oriented. Logical/disciplined approach to problem solving. Sound judgment, professionalism and discretion. Ability to function effectively within a team environment. Strong analytical, organization/planning and project management skills. Knowledge of Institutional Business Able to work independently, flexible and adaptable.
