Business Continuity Compliance Officer

Under the direction of the Director of Compliance:

The Business Continuity Compliance Officer is responsible for the overall implementation, maintenance, training, testing, and continuous improvement of the company’s Disaster Readiness program.  The Business Continuity Compliance Officer will ensure that individual departmental plans are regularly evaluated and updated, facilitate all necessary linkages with the IT Disaster Recovery plans, and assist in the creation of additional departmental business continuity plans as necessary.

 

In addition, the Business Continuity Compliance Officer is responsible for all aspects of business security including HIPAA Security and the security of business confidential information.

 POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education:  Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.  Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) preferred.

 



Minimum Experience:

 

· 3-5 years in business continuity planning and management or equivalent experience.

 

· Experience with HIPAA Security / IT security preferred

 

 Required Skills:

 

· Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Outlook, familiarity with Business Continuity software preferred.

 

· Strong organizational, analytical, written and interpersonal communication skills. Training development and presentation skills preferred.

 

· Demonstrated ability to lead and/or facilitate groups at multiple levels of an organization.  Detail oriented, demonstrated ability to work independently on multiple tasks within a busy environment; project management experience required.
