Business Operations Analyst-SQL Experience

Business Operations Analyst Responsibilities: • Document, track, and follow-up on open client issues. Work across departments and systems (customer systems, internal systems) to research, analyze and resolve questions/issues concerning system functionality and performance. • Conduct periodic carrier meetings to gather and understand requirements, communicate status and resolve issues. • Document system requirements for enhancements and reengineering opportunities and communicate requirements to the IT department for development. • Perform root cause failure analysis to identify application defects and develop a plan for resolving. • Be able to manage projects, work autonomously on department and system related projects and administer assigned projects from inception to completion. • Analyze current report generation processes and file transmission processes to develop automated solutions and reduce manual intervention. • Liaise with internal and external IT support to set-up connectivity and FTP access with external clients. • Use SQL and other query languages to upload and/or extract data to and from database and data-warehouse tables. • Generate ad-hoc reports utilizing SQL, system databases and the data-warehouse. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in MIS, CIS, or CS is a plus. • Knowledge and understanding of health care systems. • Experience documenting standard operating procedures and/or business requirements. • Experience analyzing reports and metrics and providing detailed analysis and feedback. • Ability to provide standardized and ad-hoc reports in an organized, professional format. • Experience writing SQL and utilizing it for data extraction and analysis.
