C# Developers/Architects

Salary commensurate with experience:

Jr. Developer 70-80K

Sr. Developer/Architect 90 -105K

 

 

Strategically design and implement in-house information systems and networked software architectures that support core organizational functions, and assure their high availability. This individual will provide leadership and guidance to the software development staff as well as design and code complex technical aspects of software solutions. This position will assist the Chief Technical Architect in the evaluation and recommendations of all technologies required to complete those plans – specifically those related to the Microsoft .NET technology stack. In addition, the .NET Technical Architect will insure that the Enterprise is getting maximum ROI on all Microsoft technology investments

Requirements

• College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science/engineering or information systems

• Microsoft certifications a plus.

• Minimum 10 years work or relevant experience.

• Extensive experience in developing strategic systems architecture plans.

• Hands-on experience with business requirements gathering/analysis.

• Proven experience in systems and network design and development.

• Strong understanding of information processing principles and practices.

• Solid grounding in insurance business and applications a plus.

• In-depth technical knowledge of deployment options specifically Web, Client/Server and SmartClient.

• Experience in setting up new projects in Visual Studio as well as best practices in leveraging VS

• Working knowledge of Microsoft BizTalk 2004/2006

• Experience in developing or extending classes that extend the .NET framework.

• Experience with 3rd party UI tools

• Expert knowledge of SQL Server 2005.

• Experience in database design – logical and physical.

• Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, integration methods and standards, including XML, XAML, SOAP, Web Services, SOA, ESB

• Expert knowledge of programming languages, including C# (required) and VB.NET (optional)

• Hands-on experience with application development tools, including Visual Studio and Team
