Description

Our client seeks self-motivated risk management individual to serve in a leadership and development role to elevate the level of existing risk management capabilities in all their North American business interests and operating subsidiaries. This person will work in partnership with senior business leaders at the CEO and CFO levels and other subsidiary risk management functions to advise and protect corporate interests.

 

This individual will possess leadership qualities, a good broad knowledge of risk management practices gained from working at a retail brokerage company and possibly in a corporate risk management role also. This position requires wide ranging risk management experience encompassing property, construction wrap-up, casualty, marine, aviation, financial and benefits exposures as it relates to existing subsidiaries and potential new acquisitions through M&A activities.

 

Will partner with subsidiary 'C' level officers throughout the group to identify, assess and prioritize business risks and influence the successful implementation of strategies and methodologies to manage those risks working with major brokers and insurance markets.

 

Will oversee designing and building a business risk framework that advances our North American Subsidiaries business interests, providing them with the capability to closely review key risk areas within their primary operations on an ongoing basis.

 

Play a lead role in communicating with the major brokerage companies to help ensure appropriate and effective risk oversight and monitoring.

 

Develop, refine and consult on policies and procedures that will build upon our group organizational effectiveness. This includes pro actively monitoring industry and regulatory developments that may effect our subsidiaries, and to advise and suggest integration or best practices.

 Qualifications & Experience

Minimum of ten years experience required working in client relationship/servicing teams in a retail brokerage/risk management organization, with extensive exposure to corporate risk buyers and execuitve decision-makers. Broad technical experience in risk management advising corporate clients. CPCU, ARM and graduate degree education preferred.
