Cash Receipts Specialist

Great American Supplemental Benefits, a division of Great American Financial Resources, Inc. (GAFRI) offers a variety of life, supplemental health insurance and annuity products.  Provides quality products and services has been and continues to be our top priority.  We now have an opening for a Cash Receipts Specialist in our Fiance Department.

 

The Cash Receipts Specialist will be responsible for processing all incoming cash receipts for lockboxes, both electronic and paper, as well as log incoming live payments for SOX compliance. This position is an interface with premium accounting and is the front line in cash receipts/premium accounting.  Workflow processing is critical to other departments.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

 Collect reports/check copies from Premium Accounting to match to live checks - indicating ready for deposit.  Download daily individual lockbox and process. Process direct delivery checks. Process lockbox bag paperwork. Record payments in Excel Log to track and clear applied funds - Sox compliance. Backup to Cash Deposit Desk.

Additional Requirement:

 

Will be responsible for reviewing and tracking unapplied cash - Sox compliance.

 

Education:

High School diploma with demonstrated working knowledge at an intermediate level in Excel, and word.  Beginner level Lockbox download and Life Pro.  Banking/cash receipts experience would be a plus.
