We currently have an opening for a Catastrophe Modeling Technician for our Chicago office.

The selected candidate will assist the Underwriter with the development of Catastrophe exposure for various limit, sublimit and attachment point scenarios.  Responsible for formatting schedule of values received electronically from our brokers, reformatting into an import template, and importing the data into our Catastrophe Modeling application (RiskBrowser).  Generate reports and validate that the output reflects values and quote options requested by the Underwriter.  Work with the Underwriter to revise modeling based on final quote.  Input reinsurance information during final update.Strong Mathematical aptitudeExpertise in Microsoft ExcelStrong Analytical skillsAbility to organize work and perform within time constraintsStrong written and verbal communication skillsDegree in Mathematics highly desiredKnowledge of property insurance concepts (limits, sublimits, deductibles, participation) a plus
