WHAT ARE THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION?Review, process and settle first-party injury claims, auto property damage liability, and material damage claims as trained and directed Process clear liability subrogation claims as assigned and issue deductible payment to insured when appropriate Provide assistance to claim representatives Apply State Farm's customer service philosophy Fulfill state licensing agreements (if applicable) and apply knowledge of state laws and regulations pertaining to the insurance industry Learn and use terminology regarding auto parts, auto body repair, medical procedures and anatomy

WHAT KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS ARE NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION?Ability to multi-task and handle large volumes of work in a short period of time Ability to communicate effectively and clearly, both orally and in writing Customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to operate computer equipment and applications

ITEMS OF NOTECandidates selected will be trained on terminology regarding automobile parts, auto body repair, medical procedures, anatomy, and knowledge of state laws and regulations as they apply to the insurance industry

ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONClaims Processor: Follows established procedures to appropriately review, process, and settle applicable routine medical, auto property, and/or material damage claims.
Develops and applies knowledge of insurance contracts and endorsements, state laws and regulations, customer service philosophy, automotive repair methods and parts, medical and anatomical terminology, within approved limits.
The job of the processor is to fully explore all issues surrounding a loss and make a determination of payment based on the policy contract.
Associates or Bachelors Degree in any study preferred.
Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Sixteen week classroom training, including Claim School, and the training needed to successfully complete state licensing requirements.
