This includes investigating assigned claims, evaluating claim exposure to establish reserves, managing the indemnity, medical and legal aspects of assigned claims, controlling medical treatment and coordinating independent medical evaluations where appropriate. The incumbent will also be responsible for documenting file activity on a timely basis, continually assess all aspects of the claim file, accurately detail significant events and outstanding issues, and develop resolution strategy plans to achieve appropriate claim results and timely closure. There will be constant interaction with insured, claimant and/or claimant’s attorney as needed to direct negotiations and achieve settlement. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor degree or equivalent, to include 1 year claims adjusting experience or the successful completion of Workers’ Compensation Trainee program. Candidates must possess excellent time management skills and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast paced environment. Excellent analytical, communication, investigative and customer service skills are also required. About AIG: American International Group, Inc.
