Claim Representative Rep Adjuster

State Auto Insurance Company, an eighty-seven-year-old, A+ (Superior rated), multi-line, and property-casualty insurance company has an opening for an experienced multi-line claim representative to work in our West Des Moines, Iowa, office.  Duties will include investigation, evaluation, and settlement of both personal lines and commercial lines claims. The claims representative will be responsible for handling a wide variety of claims of a moderate to high level of complexity including; bodily injury, property damage, tort and coverage litigation, construction defects, contractual liability.  The incumbent must be able to meet adjuster licensing requirements and be able to obtain state adjuster licenses as necessary.

 

Qualified applicants will possess a minimum of two years of multi-line claim adjusting background.  Exposure to both personal and commercial claims is preferred.  This position also requires excellent communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.  A college degree and/or formal insurance education are desired.
