GAINSCO Auto Insurance markets non-standard private passenger automobile products through retail agencies, in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, New Mexico, South Carolina and Texas.  ; ; GAINSCO Auto Insurance has fully integrated insurance capabilities, including marketing, underwriting, customer service and claims handling. Our operations are bilingual (English/Spanish).   GAINSCO Auto Insurance has an immediate opening in our Dallas, Texas facility for experienced Bodily Injury Claims Adjusters   Job Purpose: To evaluate and settle automobile accident claims resulting in bodily injury or death.   Responsibilities: Maintains quality service by informing claimants and/or attorneys of claims process and claim status; returning calls in a timely manner; making timely contact with all relevant parties; proactively communicating key personnel in other Departments Establishes proof of loss by analyzing recorded statements, medical records and information gathered by investigation; ensuring injury is consistent with accident and medical reports; corresponding with claimants, insured’s, witnesses, attorneys, clinics, medical experts and other insurance carriers Determines covered loss by verifying policy coverage; interviewing claimants and insured’s; reviewing police reports; consulting medical records; assessing injury severity; identifying comparative negligence Ensures legal compliance by accurately documenting findings and recommendations; processing claim according to established guidelines and procedures within specific timeline Resolves claim up to specific limit by estimating cost of treatment and liability apportionment; identifying subrogation payables and recoveries; negotiating settlements; determining pay off amounts; issuing payments Requirements: High school or equivalent required, degree preferred Valid Adjuster License in the State of Texas required Minimum 2 years bodily injury claims adjusting experience in the auto insurance industry Full understanding of auto claims investigations and claims processing Knowledge of automobile damage, mechanics of bodily injury, medical terminology, settlement negotiations and insurance case law Excellent verbal and written communications skills General office skills and basic math.  Ability to effectively manage own time and coordinate various tasks simultaneously Effective negotiating skills Ability to remain calm and professional when speaking with difficult customers Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify approaches and solutions to problems Ability to quickly build rapport and successfully effect settlements Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience.
