Claims Medical Only Adjuster

Chubb Group of Insurance Companies has an exciting opportunity for a Claims Medical Only Adjuster in its Tampa, Florida location.

Job Description:

Produce a high quality work product on basic to intermediate claims through immediate contact and the effective investigation, reserving and adjustment of claims incurred by clients or third parties.

Analyze first report to determine nature of loss, coverage provided, compensability and scope of injury/damage.

Conduct investigations of all aspects of reported claims.

Establish accurate and timely reserves.

Maintain an active diary to monitor timely development of the file and timely disposition of the claims.

Promptly and properly document all developments in claim file.

Exercise good judgement in reaching final disposition of claim by evaluating nature of loss, liability, injury/damage, coverage provided and applicable limits.

Effectively negotiate compromise settlements where appropriate.

Recognize and pursue subrogation and contribution where applicable.

Familiar with multi-jurisdictional laws, rules and regulations.

Adhere to all statutory regulations and Unfair Claim Practice Acts.

Effectively communicate with all internal/external customers.

The ideal candidate will need to have 2-5 years of relevant work experience.

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
