Claims SIU Investigator-Ft. Myers We currently have an opening for a position within our Special Investigation Unit. This candidate will conduct field investigations primarily in the South Florida area. We are seeking candidates currently residing in the Naples/Ft. Myers, Florida area with a strong investigative background.Safeco Insurance, headquartered in Seattle, WA, is an industry leader in Property and Casualty products. The candidate needs to possess good organizational skills and be able to exercise independent judgment and initiative to investigate claims. The individual must be able to conduct field work, and extensive travel is required. A company vehicle is included with this position.The successful candidate should possess the analytical ability necessary to review, interpret and evaluate relevant information essential in resolving suspicious, sensitive and complex investigations. Prior claims/SIU experience and/or related law enforcement background with an understanding of insurance law and accepted industry practices is preferred. Considered candidates would possess a thorough knowledge of the various types of insurance fraud and the strategies and techniques used in their investigation. The candidate should demonstrate heightened attention to customer service and be able to work closely with claims adjusters.Prior SIU Insurance experience is a plus.Candidates must have strong organizational, computer, verbal and written communication skills.
