Client Advisor II - Memphis Casualty - Marsh - Memphis, TN

General Summary Directs the placement and leads the servicing activity for a client within a specific product line or industry in collaboration with the client executive, practice leader, senior client advisor, broker and/or carrier. Responsible for the management of all aspects of their product line on assigned accounts. Essential FunctionsClient service and placement.· Meets with client to assess their risk management needs.  · Reviews the client's exposures and loss experience against current types of coverage and analyzes the risks to determine the products and service requirements.  · Leads risk identification process in area of specialty. · In conjunction with the Global Placement Organization and Sr. Client Advisor (depending on level), develops a broking plan in response to client needs and gains client's approval.  · Communicates the broking plan to clients, brokers or carriers, as appropriate.  · Receives, negotiates and evaluates quotes from the carrier or the broking center and presents a recommendation to client.  · Upon client's acceptance, binds coverage and issues appropriate documents.  Invoices the client and monitors payment by the client to avoid policy cancellation.  Responsible for policy checking and delivery to client.· Delivers daily service to the clients for the specific product line that assures that their risk management needs are appropriately met. · Implements and maintains a quality post-sales service plan.· Responsible for and convenes  the internal pre-meeting before the renewal strategy meeting.· May participate in renewal strategy, budget and income related meetings · Adheres to Marsh Professional Standards and Marsh Excellence protocols. Client development. · Creates and presents renewal proposals to existing clients and participates in presentations to prospective clients.· Recognizes and explains additional revenues opportunities on behalf of the clients.·  Product development. · Keeps abreast of changing market conditions and informs client executives, carriers, brokers and/or clients of major developments affecting various types of coverage.  · Identifies the need for new products and suggests solutions to brokers and/or carriers.· Staff management. · Coordinates servicing workload of client representatives on assigned accounts.  · Provides input to appropriate supervisor for performance assessment of client representatives.  · Training and mentoring of junior employees. Scope Possesses in-depth knowledge of insurance with respect to the specialty product line.  Handles the medium-sized accounts or moderately difficult accounts. Understands elements of alternative risk transfer solutions and Marsh resource capabilities. Independent solver on placement. Has a minimum of eight years of experience. Revenues serviced usually up to $1.2 - $1.5 million. Miscellaneous Information management. Utilizes the company's integrated PC network that builds and shares service and placement information and makes use of the company's network of resources to enhance productivity and economic benefits to both Marsh and the client. Qualifications. Has a college degree or equivalent work experience and is appropriately licensed.  Is an expert user of the company-sanctioned Internet and e-mail, word processing and spreadsheet software.  Has extensive knowledge of in-house, proprietary financial and sales-reporting systems, as well as office databases and company-sanctioned presentation software.
