Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative

Summary:  To provide technical and clerical support for the Producers and other commercial lines personnel in processing all lines of commercial insurance in accordance with the agency’s objectives and procedures.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:  Match incoming mail and process or refer to others.Handles insureds’, lien holders’, mortgagees’, certificate holders’ and underwriters’ questions/requests on the telephone or delivered by email.Monitor renewals 95 days in advance and work with the producer to complete applications/surveys and obtain quotes prior to expiration date.Prepare proposals and policy surveys with requested by the Producer.Check policy coverages and ratings for accuracy and relevance on all new business, endorsements and renewals.Process and suspense cancellation and endorsement requests.Invoice new, renewal, endorsement, cancellation and audit transactions.Prepare finance agreements.Prepare binders, certificates and Auto ID cards.Maintain account folders with appropriate documentation according to established procedures.

Other Duties & Responsibilities:  Performs other miscellaneous duties, as assigned or requested by agency management.Back-up to designated person.

Job Qualification/Knowledge: 

2 years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably in personal lines.
