USAA is currently seeking a talented Compensation Strategy Advisor for our San Antonio, TX facility. As a Compensation Strategy Advisor for USAA, you will design and lead implementation of major initiatives impacting productivity and effectiveness of major programs across the enterprise, including workforce, finance, technology, and integrated business operations. Develops strategy and action plans for key programs with enterprisewide impact. This position is reserved for employees with significant professional experience, broad leadership skills and ability, a high level of subject matter expertise in their field, and market pay justification for placement into this level. Job Duties: Develops strategy and leads implementation impacting major business functions and CoSA operations. Leads crossfunctional teams of senior managers and professionals in support of strategic initiatives. Manages team outcomes by developing key metrics and tracking progress and effectiveness. Oversees and approves requirements gathering and integrates project and initiative deliverables between staff agencies and enterprise programs. Recommends courses of action and workflow impacting all groups supporting initiatives managed. Leads peer reviews of work products to ensure enterprise alignment and effectiveness of outcomes. Manages disagreements and negotiates solutions to complex issues with stakeholders across the enterprise, including senior leadership. Provides proactive solutions to senior management in area of expertise and coaches experienced staff members on theory and application of complex concepts. Recommends changes to policies and procedures to support. Maintains awareness of industry trends and recommends appropriate application of CoSA operations resources. Coordinates research supporting resolution of significant crossfunctional issues and recommends creative solutions to challenges affecting the workforce across the enterprise. Qualified candidates need to possess: Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience 8+ years of progressive experience and expert knowledge in area of expertise 3+ years experience leading crossfunctional teams Well versed in use of Microsoft Office products and other software to be used to develop analyses, charts, learning modules and/or supporting documentation. Preferred experience includes: 5-7 years of significant compensation experience at a major employer (e.g. Fortune 500).
