Highly visible healthcare operations role. We’re looking for an individual with claims, call center or a provider contracts background to join our Regulatory and Legal Affairs team. As the Compliance Consultant, you would serve as a business liaison to internal departments and external auditors to address identified issues. Key responsibilities of the Compliance Consultant include: Interacting with regulators and auditors to gain an understanding of their requirements Responding to auditors’ questions Gathering information from internal business areas Preparing exam reports of findings and further questions Reviewing and responding to the auditors’ findings Addressing issues identified Reporting to regulators to update them on action plans and issue resolution Requirements include: A background in the healthcare industry, preferably within operations Experience in claims, a call center OR provider contracting Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Superior communication skills In addition, ideal assets include: Experience with audits or market conduct exams A background in the managed care industry Experience with corrective action plans A Bachelor’s degree Skills in MS Project UnitedHealth Group offers a full range of comprehensive benefits to full-time and part-time employees, including medical, dental and vision, as well as a matching 401k and an employee stock purchase plan.
