Consultant, IT Application Development (WHIC)

***This position will be focused on technology initiatives in support of Western Heritage Insurance (WHIC)***

Within our rapidly growing, customer focused technology group, your highly developed leadership skills will be utilized to manage a team involved with the development and implementation of cost-effective information technology solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications. Specific duties include determining user requirements, leading application design and planning projects. Additionally, you will evaluate project status and resource utilization, as well as implement change in order to increase team efficiencies.



Qualifications:

Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, mathematics or related field preferred

6 years of experience in programming and systems analysis

J2EE, Java Script, Struts, Hibernate experience

Proven knowledge in computer programming language, systems and data processing procedures, systems analysis and design techniques, as well as project management concepts

Extensive knowledge of the systems development life cycle

Strong management and decision making skills

Ability to lead and organize complex development projects including technical leadership on design and development of more complex components within a project

Provide project estimates and set milestone dates

Strong people and communication skills

Organized

Strong documenter
