We are one of the leading insurance companies in the United States.  Our superior financial strength and consistent record of strong operating returns mean security for our customers - and opportunities for our employees.  You will find Travelers to be full of energy and a workplace in which you truly can make a difference. We are currently looking for a Consultant, Marketing Communications.  Please read on for more details regarding this position. JOB DESCRIPTION: SUMMARY: Provide editorial, web development and knowledge management support to the Travelers Claim organization.  Develop and update new and existing web pages and online knowledge archives.  Support development of a Claim knowledge management strategy aligned with Claim business goals and corporate strategy.  Support other department projects as needed.  PRIMARY DUTIES: As part of the Claim Marketing and Communications team, the successful candidate will be responsible for working with department colleagues to develop and update new and existing web pages and online knowledge archives. This position will support development of a Claim knowledge management strategy aligned with Claim business goals and corporate strategy, including the development of publication, distribution and archiving protocols.This position will also provide writing, editing and project management skills in support of other departmental projects as needed.Key skills include copywriting, site development, and content cataloguing and archiving. Ability to build relationships with subject matter experts and IT professionals necessary.HTML knowledge helpful but not necessary. WORK EXPERIENCE: BS degree in English, Communications, Library Science, Humanities/Social Sciences or equivalent experience.  Academic research experience a plus. Project management experience a plus. 2 to 4 years related work experience  COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills.Solid interpersonal skills.  OTHER: Quick learner, able to effectively master a wide variety of technical material in a relatively short time.
