Allstate was founded in 1931 and became a publicly traded company in 1993.The individual will be responsible for telephone inquiries from agents and home office employees by providing status on new business and inforce policies. Interpret and apply concepts based on company policies and procedures. Perceive, distinguish, and empathize with emotions in telephone conversations. Take accountability for requests received over the phone and follow up to ensure correction is made to resolve problems or complaints. Work independently displaying good judgment and problem solving skills.  Excellent intuitive and analytical skills to review cases and determine solutions to requests.Must be able to communicate effectively and clearly by telephone and written correspondance.  Must conduct telephone coversation in a pleasent manner and handle irate callers in a professional manner.Requires attention to detail and a sincere commitment to servicing the fieldforce, policyholders, co-workers and other home office personnel.Requires excellent organizational and prioritization skills, and the ability to adapt quickly and effectively to shifting priorities, as well as a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.Requires the ability to maintain acceptable attendance according to the company attendance policy.  Must have good computer and typing skills.  Prefer 2+ years of customer service experiences
