Contract Specialist

The Contract Specialist is responsible for the development and management of Center for Healthy Aging Medicare and Individual product regulatory documents. Regulatory documents to be managed include member policies, summary of benefits and applications. Documentation management includes: assessment of regulatory obligations including benefit changes; revision of member documents based upon these assessments; management of the document production; and ensuring any necessary operational changes are made. Will participate in the product management process evaluating new product ideas and potential product changes. If potential changes are identified this position will assist in their implementation. Also has responsibility for project management of regulatory obligations, developing and implementing corrective action plans on compliance matters, monitoring compliance, and product administration. Will develop policies, procedures, training, and monitoring protocols to ensure that Medica consistently executes against relevant legal compliance obligations. The position will lead cross-functional teams and will help drive change across Medica.College degree strongly preferred. 5+ years of health care experience with 2+ years working with member documents required. Strong writing skills. Must demonstrate strong analytical and problem identification and resolution skills. Strong drive for results and accountability. Demonstrated success leading project teams and managing/executing complex projects across organizations. Knowledge of health insurance benefits, fraud and abuse, consumer protection laws, and managed care laws. Must be able to develop innovative solutions that balance legal and business needs. Proven ability to communicate effectively. Ability to handle multiple, complex projects with a high degree of initiative.
