WHAT ARE THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION?Provide appropriate and flexible decisions on customer applications/accounts utilizing Bank systems in concert with Bank Policies and Procedures Process customer information in compliance with appropriate Banking Regulations, the U.S. Patriot Act, the Bank's Customer Identification Procedures (CIP) and Records Retention guidelines Provide appropriate and professional service and support to customers, agents and staff Provide banking and underwriting resources to business partners in support of customer investigations and customer service
WHAT KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS ARE NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION?Perform manual underwriting on applications/accounts taking into account various sources of information. Perform manual analysis of information discrepancies to determine best course of action for customer and State Farm Bank. When possible, execute actions to resolve discrepancies Knowledge of the basic fundamentals of underwriting & system operations. Conduct appropriate interaction with agents, staff and customers regarding decisions Review all queues / workflows for applications or accounts as necessary Ensure adherence to State Farm Bank policies and guidelines Provide flexible decision making capabilities using policy guidelines and parameters Perform other related duties as assigned
ITEMS OF NOTEPrevious experience working with various bank products, underwriting or financial services desirable Previous experience with automated application systems also desirable Knowledge of and experience with manual processing and decisioning Analytical skills to evaluate diverse situations, multiple data sources and make appropriate decisions Ability to work with limited supervision and make independent decisions Ability to use and understand procedure, reference and system manuals
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Bank Call Center
4-5 years experience within the auto lending industry as a Credit Analyst. Knowledge of and experience with Consumer Credit Protection regulations including Reg. B, Reg. Z, Reg. C (HMDA), CRA, RESPA, and Privacy Act. Experience with Consumer Credit application processing systems such as ACAPS, CMSI, APPRO, or COIN. Knowledge of and experience with real estate valuation and collateral protection requirements including appraisals, titles, and flood certification. Knowledge of and experience with collateral valuation methods such as NADA, PC Car Book, and Black Book.
