Curriculum Instuctional Designer

COUNTRY® Financial has an opening for a Curriculum Instructional Designer in our Bloomington, IL Home Offices. COUNTRY, in partnership with our agents, helps families, individuals and businesses protect their possessions and achieve financial security. The responsibilities of this position include:
• Interact with individuals within all divisions, subject matter experts SMEs, external curriculum developers, facilitators, consultants and clients;
• Conduct performance analysis: interviews, observe and collect performance information; identify needs; define instructional/performance objectives and performance measures; recommend appropriate learning platform;
• Participate on project teams of external or business curriculum developers and SMEs and division staff to design, develop and produce training materials for tailored solutions to learning needs;
• Manage multiple curriculum design projects simultaneously;
• Interface with business areas and developers to assess and clarify business needs, project scope and requirements of curriculum design projects;
• Follow-up and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of learning programs (formatively and summatively) through usability studies and analysis and make appropriate recommendations to meet business objectives;
• May independently create, implement and evaluate learning modules or programs;
• Design new learning and repurposes existing learning for its use in multiple organizational areas and for its effective re-use.
The qualifications and skills needed to perform this job include:
• Knowledge of instructional design methodologies;
• Experience with adult learning strategies;
• Ability to gather and organize large amounts of information so that it can be used to create learning experiences meeting the business and learning objectives;
• Highly developed writing skills;
• Analytical, organization and planning skills;
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Master's or Bachelor's degree in instructional systems design, adult education, curriculum planning or related field;
• Knowledge and application of instructional design and adult learning;
• Flexibility and creativity;
• Knowledge of the process of curriculum design, development and desktop publishing.
