College degree a plus.

Start Date: July 14, 2008Training Hours: 10:00 am to 6:30 pmWork Shift Hours: TBDApplication Deadline: June 27, 2008WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION?This position resides within our Call Center and operates in a team-based environment.Customer Care Representative responsibilities include:Provide excellent customer service to all Hartford customers (internal/external) Communicate to customers in a professional manner Respond to inbound calls and make outbound calls as appropriate. NO COLD CALLS Point-of-contact to resolve agent/policyholder problems and customer inquiries Candidates will be responsible for handling incoming phone calls from customers with existing automobile or homeowner's policies Responsibilities include answering questions, providing information as appropriate on policy inquiries, and resolving customer issues Candidates must be able to work within established and measurable call center metrics Candidates must be able to work in a team environment, as well as being able to resolve issues accurately and independently Must successfully complete an intensive 6 week training programWHAT IS THE COMPENSATION OPPORTUNITY?At The Hartford, our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay competitive base salaries and we reward performance.  The base salary for this position ranges from $26,600 to $31,000. In addition, you will be eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits program including medical insurance (eligibility begins on the first day of employment), a 401K plan, and employee Stock Purchase Plan.  Paid training and shift differential maybe available.
