JOB TITLE: Data Analyst



FULL TIME: Monday thru Friday 8:00 AM –5:00 PM



 

Vestica Healthcare, one of the nation’s most respected providers of health care administration is looking for self-starting individuals who possess 3+ years experience in the MIS field. Qualified candidates will possess a positive attitude, the ability to work in a fast paced dynamic work environment, and the ability to work as part of a team. In order to be considered for this role, candidates must have knowledge of database applications and data query protocol Microsoft SQL Server, Query Analyzer, Transact-SQL). Customer service-based/ relational database experience is also necessary.

Job responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following tasks:



Preparing ad hoc data extractions, reports, and analysis summaries: reviewing, troubleshooting, and correcting database information, ensuring incoming data meets database standards, and running eligibility and claims database update processes;

Analyzing data to prepare reports and summaries



Using information analysis techniques to provide data modeling to confirm data meets database standards





Delivering data information to internal and external clients as required; analyzing information requests and delivering accurate and timely data to requesting users or clients;

Analyzing and assisting with programming computer systems to properly address client inquiries



Reviewing data flow to determine problems affecting client eligibility and claim processing





Answering all client inquiries regarding reported data, map, encode, and trouble-shooting incoming client eligibility data and outgoing client claims encounter, provider and other database information;



Assisting with departmental projects -using computer systems to improve and enhance healthcare administrative services



 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:



3+ years experience in the MIS field is required.

A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (such as Computer/Electronic Engineering, Management Information System) or a Bachelor degree in Business plus experience in a field related to Computer Science (or the equivalent).



KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:



Knowledge of general computer software. (Microsoft Office Suite).

Knowledge of database applications and data query protocol (MS Access, MS SQL Server, Transact-SQL).

Customer service-based/ relational database experience is necessary.

Experience coding with Transact-SQL in a MS SQL Server environment or similar.

Exposure to .NET and/or Visual Basic Development Environments.
