Data Integration Analyst
North American Medical Management specializes in co-ventures with leading physicians and hospitals to build physician networks, which successfully address the delivery of medical services to managed care markets.
NAMM has developed sophisticated techniques for managing revenue and health care expenses of doctor groups (IPA's/PHO's). These include health plan contract affiliations, information and operating systems, actuarial and financial analyses, utilization management, case management, and quality management procedures, provider contracts and incentive mechanisms, as well as medical policies and risk management. NAMM provides these tools and management services to IPA's and PHO's.
Currently we are seeking a Data Integration Analyst as described below:
The Data Integration Analyst provides statistical and analytical reports on capitation, utilization, and claims issues for internal users. S/he analyzes and evaluates financial analysis systems and users' needs to make necessary changes. S/he scrubs, reconciles and prepares data for loading into the data warehouse.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:Develop new and modify existing internal applications.Provide full life cycle development of financial applications within the financial operations department.This process would include identifying, analyzing, recommending solutions to business and user needs, designing, developing, testing and documenting process improvements.Provide advice and consultation on methods to improve financial analysis processes and applications.Conduct ongoing financial, utilization and other analytical studies.Work in conjunction with management to analyze data to support the operations of the individual IPAs/PHOs.Interpret key data and present the findings in a clear, concise written format.Make appropriate recommendations related to findings and participate in the development of action plans where required.Function as technical liaison with internal and external contacts.Responsible for the processing of health plan revenues and expenses through data collections, analysis and preparation of HCC/Risk factor score reporting.Evaluate and reconcile revenue shortages to include capitation revenue, risk programs, pcp and specialty capitation and claims data.Normalize revenue data for reporting purposes.Import and export data using various data sources and syntax formats within multiple applications.Build complex queries, procedures or DTS packages to streamline data collection and distribution.Resolve programming/syntax issues by utilizing the Internet and other resources.Compile and provide monthly, quarterly and yearly reports such as RAF Scores, Management Statistics and Health Care Cost trends to assist management in their business decisions.Respond to 'Ad Hoc' report requests in a timely manner using various tools (i.e.: Crystal Reports, SQL Server, Access, Excel).Write documentation and commend code as necessary to re-create processes.Provide vacation and PTO relief for IT staff on interim basis as needed.
Job Specifications:Bachelors Degree in Business Administration: Finance, IT, or related fieldBachelors Degree can be substituted with 5-8 years of expertise in IT functions or Managed Care Systems support.Related Microsoft certified training or advanced programming/database handling trainingExperience in an IPA/PHO or Managed Care environment preferred.Ability to demonstrate advance proficiency with MS Access, Excel and SQL to include database management, data extracts, queries, report writing, relational databases as is typically acquired through the attainment of a Bachelor Degree in IT or related field.Knowledge of financial analyses and reportingRequire strong analytical and communication skills
