If you would like to apply your skills and experience to create health-care solutions, consider the following position: Job Summary: The Director of Business Continuity is responsible for developing, supporting, and maintaining the enterprise wide business continuity program for Premera. The Director is responsible for designing and implementing appropriate program management and event management plans and processes to assure associate safety and recovery of essential functions in the event of a business disruption. The Director will establish credible working relationships with internal technology executives, business unit leaders, and vendors to ensure that the organization maintains a vital enterprise recovery plan through appropriate process, training, leadership and technology. Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for developing and maintaining Premera’s enterprise wide business continuity program, including developing necessary policies, plans, procedures and training. Designs multi-year business continuity plans. 2. Leads and manages a team of professionals, including hiring, development, and performance management 3. Works collaboratively across the enterprise with various business stakeholders at all levels to design and develop an end to end business continuity management program 4. Responsible for ensuring business continuity programs across a multi-state, multi-site organization 5. Designs and implements strategies to align the Business Continuity program with Premera’s business needs as well as the company’s Mission, Vision, and Values. 6. Defines Business Continuity Plan testing and provides metrics for success. Responsible for reporting regularly on the Business Continuity Program outcomes and actions to Premera Leadership. 7. Acts as an internal consultant and advisor to Leadership on Business Continuity and Crisis Management matters Minimum Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience 2. At least 5 years professional experience in the related fields of Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Crisis Management 3. At least 3 years experience developing and leading teams 4. Demonstrated leadership in establishing and developing successful enterprise-wide business continuity and disaster recovery programs in a complex business setting 5. Detailed understanding of business continuity requirements and experience designing programs responsive to specific company needs 6. Ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions while consulting with various business stakeholders 7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills 8. Demonstrated successful experience in the management of large, complex programs or projects 9. Strong interpersonal and indirect influencing skills with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence of individuals at various organizational levels. Experience working successfully in a matrix organization. Additional Qualifications Preferred: 1. Professional designations in Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery. Examples: Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP), Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Certified Risk Professional, (CRP) or other related certifications, training, or education. 2. Knowledge of or experience in healthcare and/or insurance industry. Premera Ranked Highest in Member Satisfaction in U.S. West In the J.D.
