Director - Program Operations

Everest National Insurance Company, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd., is seeking a Director of Program Operations for our headquarters in Liberty Corner, NJ (exit 33 off I-78).The Operations Director for Everest National Insurance Company ) works in collaboration with all Departments to assist in new business development and implementation as well as in maintaining operational standards for existing business. This person is responsible for the oversight and management of all operational and procedural aspects of Program Administrators, Claim Service Providers and regional field offices through a combination of annual audits and daily interaction with these entities. RequirementsCollege degree. CPCU designation a plus.Minimum 5 - 7 years Commercial Lines P&C Insurance experience in Operations, Underwriting, Product Development, Business Analysis or related fields. Audit background a plus.Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Project management skills and ability to manage/prioritize multiple tasks.Analytical, process management and procedural documentation skills.Flexibility for occasional travel (approximately 25% anticipated).Duties and ResponsibilitiesAct as a liaison between external customers (PA's/CSP's/field offices) and all functional departments of the Company.Perform operational audits of existing programs and due diligence reviews of potential new programs and business initiatives.Assess existing program performance and resolve issues that arise in a timely manner.Develop operational procedures and evaluate needs of individual programs to integrate corporate solutions within program workflows.Demonstrate knowledge of transaction processing from application acceptance through to policy issuance and regulatory reporting.Guide PA, CSP and field offices in the implementation of company and statutory directives.Provide input and direction to support staff both within Operations and other departments.Report program status and emerging issues to Senior Management.Act as a project manager for cross-functional Company initiatives.Participate in the development and implementation of long and short-term business strategies to effectively achieve departmental objectives.Assist the Systems Department in developing business requirements and applications.Utilize available resources in a cost effective manner.Work effectively with all staff levels within the organization.
