Disability Claims Case Manager Associate

Description:Liberty Mutuals Group Market is hiring for its entry-level Disability Claims Case Manager Associate role. The Case Manager Associate position begins with participation in a 4-6 week training program where the principles of managing disability claims are learned. After participating in the training program, on-the-job training begins where individuals start to apply the skills learned in training to actual claims management with the guidance of a mentor. Job Description:Processing standard short-term disability claims. ~ Assesses claim details, determines appropriate claim liability, and issues benefit payments of the most standard STD claims. ~ Applies the appropriate contractual provisions; legal guidelines; and claim procedures, concepts, principles, and protocols to process claims. ~ Regularly exercises independent judgment in interpreting information. ~ Uses the disability claim system to adjudicate and pay claims while meeting all service, timeframe, and production standards. ~ Forwards claim on to more senior Case Managers if the claim becomes more complex.Qualifications:H.S. diploma plus 4 or more years of business experience with some exposure to insurance products required. Demonstrated decision making, communication, and computer skills required. Strong ability to process multiple tasks quickly while providing excellent customer service.
