Position Summary

 

Responsible for assuring, accurate, timely and efficient processing of all enrollment activities according to CMS guidelines. Effectively reports all enrollment transactions received by CMS. Assists Accounting and Member Services in reconciliation of issues related to enrollment.

 

Position Accountabilities and Performance Criteria

 Accurately enter new enrollment application forms and cancellation requests within two (2) working days of receipt. Ensure that appropriate letters and other correspondence are printed and mailed within the timeframes indicated in the department training manual. Assist the Program Accounting Department in matters related to reconciliation of payments received from CMS. Assist in the inventory and assembly of the Welcome Packets. Assure that Welcome Packets are sent in a timely manner. Research the Common Working file for eligibility verification Interact with CMS Regional office for resolution of difficult situations. Participate in ongoing process improvement activities. Perform assigned duties and tasks to meet departmental and corporate goals, improve operational skills, and increase knowledge. Provide input for creation and maintenance of Enrollment Policies and Procedures. Solve problems creatively, using all investigative resources at hand to research and gather viable solutions. Present potential problems and solutions effectively.

Position Qualifications

 Ability to work independently and interact well with other departments and co-workers Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, grammar, and proofreading skills Understanding of the customer service and enrollment process

Minimum Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

 

Minimum Experience

At least two (2) years of healthcare related experience.
