As a Enterprise Architect for USAA, you will perform the necessary leadership, analysis, and design tasks related to the development, stewardship and governance of USAA's Enterprise Business Architecture. Job Duties: Analyzes enterprise business strategies to determine business process and solution capabilities required to achieve business strategies. Analyzes the current business and information technology environments to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement. Analyzes industry and market trends and determine potential impact on the enterprise. Leads and can communicate the enterprise architecture process, its outcome, and ongoing results. Partners with USAA Architecture disciplines to define the principles to guide enterprise architecture decisions for the enterprise. Qualified candidates need to possess: Bachelor's in the industry, or equivalent experience. 7-10 years of experience in at least two IT or Business disciplines. 2 years of experience working at USAA, or another company in a similar industry. Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation. Strong leadership skills, excellent written and verbal communications skills. Excellent planning and organizational skills. Basic knowledge of enterprise financial models and budgeting. Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations. Ability to translate business strategies into required capabilities. Ability to estimate financial impact of enterprise architecture alternatives. Ability to apply multiple solutions to business problems. Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies and partners with the Chief Technology office to apply them to enterprise capabilities. Preferred experience includes: MBA is preferred, but not mandatory; however, an advanced understanding of finance, accounting, marketing, and economic principles is necessary.
