Enterprise Business Applications Support Manager

Premera Blue Cross is looking for a dynamic leader to manage a team of Systems Engineers, with an emphasis on quality and customer service. The Business Applications Support (BAS) Manager provides leadership for resources responsible for providing support and management of a number of enterprise-wide, mission-critical applications and services to internal business customers within Premera. The BAS Manager also provides leadership for resources responsible for understanding internal IT needs and providing support for a number of software tools utilized by IT. The BAS team is primarily located at our main campus, but does include remote systems engineers and systems administrators. Ideal candidates will have experience building consultative cross functional relationships working with key IT and business partners, understanding goals and challenges of customers and proactively leveraging applications and tools to help customers be successful. Ideal candidates will also have demonstrated a commitment to excellence: by continually striving for operational excellence via ITIL and/or other continuous process improvement methodologies. Requirements: 8+ years experience of leading technical-level support engineers and administrators. 12+ years of progressive IT experience working with a variety of IT Operational support teams. Experience working in large-scale, distributed environments with a solid understanding of IT infrastructure technologies and processes. Solid understanding of project management fundamentals.
