Executive Assistant - Guy Carpenter - Capital Markets - New York, NY

Job Summary: Performs advanced, diversified and confidential secretarial and administrative support for the Capital Markets Department at Guy Carpenter.  The team is comprised of approximately 8-10 individuals. Day-to-day responsibilities will be primarily focused the core administrative responsibilities of maintaining calendars, booking travel arrangements, and processing and managing reimbursement of travel & entertainment expenses. Job Duties/Responsibilities:1.  Compose and type standard correspondence, and may draft complex communications. 2.  Screen telephone calls and visitors. 3.  Schedule appointments, travel itineraries and make arrangements for meetings and conferences. 4.  Prepare own replies to inquiries and other business correspondence. 5.  Organize and maintain correspondence and records, following up on pending matters. 6.  Communicate and/or coordinate manager's instructions with various individuals and/or departments. 7.  Prepare reports, summaries, or replies to inquiries, selecting relevant information  from a variety of sources. 8.  Anticipate and prepare materials needed by manager for conferences, correspondence,   meetings telephone calls, etc. 9.  Furnish and obtain information from other senior management or outside clients/markets.10.   Assist with complex issues, often of a confidential nature.11.   Perform other job-related duties as assigned.1.High School Degree plus 5+ years related experience.2.Strong ability to prioritize workload according to volume, urgency, etc.3.Strong ability to be organized and pay attention to detail.4.Strong ability to work cooperatively with others.5.Strong ability to be discrete and maintain high confidentiality on a wide range of issues.6.Strong verbal and writing skills.7.Strong knowledge of organization policies and practices.8.  Strong computer skills for using Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Lotus Notes.
