We currently represent a large regional Property and Casualty Insurance Company seeking an experienced PROPERTY CLAIMS ADJUSTER

 

Our Client is a National Insurance company with a regional branch in New York City. The territory serviced by this branch encompasses the five boroughs of NY as well as parts of New Jersey. 

 

The candidate we are seeking must posses a strong Commercial Lines claims background in adjusting Property Claims.

 

Your responsibilities will be to investigate, evaluate and settle property claims within authority granted.

 

 The ideal candidate will posses a strong commercial lines claims background in handling

 Property losses and will be licensed in NY and NJ.



 

Additional requirements include:

1)  Knowledge of current case law, statutory law, regulations, etc. that apply to claims practices

and issues  

  within the territory of operation.

2)  Ability to interpret routine policy contracts.

3)  Ability to demonstrate sound analytical skills.

4)  Ability to negotiate effectively.

5)  Ability to communicate effectively orally and in written form.

6)  Must maintain a current driver's license in state of employment. 

7)  Ability to examine risks and determine cause of loss, prepare scope of damage, write estimate

of damage and

  evaluate contractor and /or insured bid for repairs against same.

 

The territory for this exciting opportunity includes New York City and New Jersey.



 

Education and Experience:

1)  College degree or equivalent experience and/or professional designations.2)  Two (2) years of Property claims adjusting experience demonstrating progressive levels Confidentiality is Key
