In short, we're simply the right choice.  FNOL Supervisor - Chattanooga, TNApply online at: https://home.eease.com/recruit/?id=39005   POSITION SUMMARY:  Supervise and support the daily operations of the FNOL Unit. Responsible for training and coaching assigned staff, answering questions and solving problems, assuring quality and service levels are met.  ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Using independent discretion and judgment, responsible for the supervision of Claims Intake Specialists. Motivates, trains, counsels, communicates performance standards and provides feedback to assigned staff.  Maintains an acceptable service level in the FNOL area by ensuring that phones are consistently covered and answered in a timely and professional manner. Monitors incoming phone calls to Claim Intake Specialists on a regular basis, evaluates customer service techniques, and recommends solutions for improvement to make certain customers are treated with respect and claims are entered accurately in a timely manner. Fosters employee retention through clear communication of expectations and performance in all measurable areas, acknowledges employee accomplishments and provides feedback where improvement is needed. Handles escalated service calls transferred from Claims Intake Specialists.  Through workforce management assures schedule adherence and plans for future staffing needs as volume grows. Recommends hiring, promotions, salary adjustments, and termination of assigned staff. Meets daily with the Customer Service/FNOL Manager to discuss immediate issues and to review service stats. Maintains and updates adequate performance and attendance files on all direct reports on a daily basis. Identifies training needs and works with training resources to effectively satisfy these needs. Keeps open lines of communication with Claims Department. Communicates effectively with other departments within Unitrin. Works with Quality Assurance Team to Create process for measuring quality and set standards to ensure the highest level of quality Customer Service.   OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:Communicates via electronic mail acknowledging and sending correspondence in a professional, timely manner.Performs other work-related duties as assigned. EDUCATION/SKILL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; a 2 4 year college degree is preferred. Minimum of two years Customer Service experience in a Call Center environment with 1 year supervisory experience required. At least 2 years personal auto experience preferred. Property/Casualty license preferred. Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills with a team-oriented approach are necessary. Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook are essential.  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The position requires extensive use of the telephone and face-to-face communication that requires accurate perception of speech as well as talking and hearing. The position frequently requires the ability to visit employee workstations and other work areas. The position may require lifting of up to 10 lbs. The position requires close vision, distant vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
