PREMERA Blue Cross is seeking an experienced Facilities / Planning Manager. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated experience in forecasting, facilities space mapping, and construction planning for mulitiple buildings in mulitiple site locations totaling over 600,000 ft. Job Summary: The Facilities Manager manages and coordinates the budgeting, scheduling, design, bidding, construction, furnishings, cost control, and relocation requirements for renovation, tenant improvements and new construction projects. This position is also responsible for the proactive maintenance and contract services as it relates to the overall business plan, while providing an efficient and functional work environment in the most cost effective manner. The Facilities Manager must thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and produce quality products in quick succession. This individual must be an effective communicator, with the ability to deliver results at all levels of the organization. Responsibilities: 1. Leads the development of short and long range facility space planning and maintenance - utilizing the latest technology /planning tools and leveraging metrics to track and measure success. 2. Manages facility project activities including 3 year outlook for maintenance and space forecasting, as well as interior planning and installation. 3. Provide direct supervision to staff - performance management, feedback, coaching, overseeing work assignments, providing professional development opportunities. 4. Participates in negotiations for leasing, tenant improvement requirements and project budget development. 5. Represents the organization in design/construction projects ensuring code compliance, and coordination with City planning. 6. Coordinates the design development, specifications, installation requirements and project oversight for preventive maintenance projects. 7. Develops productive working relationships with others and effectively balances the interests and needs of one group with those of the broader organization. 8. Prepares and delivers clear and concise presentations, displays ability to present views logically while demonstrating strong persuasive power. Conveys information clearly and effectively through both formal and informal documents. Maintains proactive and effective project communications to all levels of management and associates. 9. Anticipates customer needs, takes action to meet their needs and continually searches for ways to increase customer satisfaction. 10. Fosters the development of a common vision, provides clear direction and priorities, drives for results and success, and persists despite challenges. 11. Prepares annual operating budgets and controls expenses within the approved spending limits. Prepares costs estimates, schedules correspondence, contracts and purchase requisitions for maintenance and assigned projects. 12. Reviews and manages project budgets, consultants and contractors, telecommunications, security, data processing, furniture, furnishings, move-in requirements, signage, mail services and landscaping. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering or construction management or similar work experience. 2. Five to eight years progressive facility management experience. 3. Three to five years construction management experience 4. Two years experience with security and privacy related regulations. 5. Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Power Point and AutoCAD 6. Professional registration with IFMA is desired.
