Field Claims Representative

HomeWise Management Group is a property/casualty insurance organization located in Tampa, Florida.  We are a small but solid and growing organization that is seeking knowledgeable insurance specialists who are not afraid to roll up their sleeves and perform a variety of tasks.As we expand our markets, we are looking for a field claims representative in the Ft. Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Broward or West Palm Beach area to assist our claims department.

 

This position will require the ability to determine coverage, inspect damages, verify and appraise items involved in property losses, negotiate, evaluate, and settle claims as needed.

 

Essential Job Functions

  Be able to scope property losses with damages up to an in excess of $50,000.00 Leans to communicate with the public regarding procedures, problems and coverage; investigate, evaluate, and settle claims. Analyzes claim situations for coverage by contract. Assists in special types of losses such as liability and catastrophic losses.

 

 

Education/Skills/Experience Requirements

  Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university or three to five years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals. Must be trained in property damage evaluation, building construction, and catastrophe adjusting a plus Must have appropriate adjusters license as required by local municipality or state agency.
