Field Marketing Representative
Where Drive Meets Opportunity!
National Interstate Insurance Company wants you to add your vision and drive to our team! We’re currently seeking a local Field Marketing Representative within our Texas territory. Ideally someone based out of Dallas, Houston, San Antonio or Austin.
The successful Field Marketing Representative will recruit and develop independent agents to write portfolios of Personal Lines insurance products.
Main responsibilities will include:Grow NATL’s market share through independent agents by recruiting independent agents, cultivating relationships, selling the benefits of NATL’s programs, and training them on our products and technology Strategically plan territory routes to maximize sales outcomes Effectively manage multiple relationships and responsibilities within the assigned territory Actively manage a specific segment of our agency plant; establish new agents and accounts along with leveraging existing agency relationships to increase sales Act as a liaison between the agent and the company, as well as resolve agent issues Coordinate prospecting program; make initial contact through direct agent phone solicitation, screen potential agent prospects, follow up for outstanding items either by phone or email, monitor agents through the appointment process, along with discussing post appointments quotes/application commitment calls Effectively communicate with all team members to meet objectives Monitor products, distribution, services, and pricing of NATL versus our competitors; maintain competitive information to maximize NATL’s position in the marketplace Prepare background sales call information and research, proposals/contracts, summaries of sales activities and call follow up Travel requirements- manageable overnights; company vehicle provided
Qualifications we’re looking for:Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or equivalent work experience 2+ years recent outside business-to-business sales experience working with current Texas Independent Agents and brokers including Personal Lines products (including non-standard auto) Proven ability to effectively manage multiple strategic priorities and execute routine territory management and sales responsibilities Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Strong PC skills Ability to travel 25% of the time
