Field Sales Leadership Program

 

 

Position Summary

 

This comprehensive work-based training program consists of 3 main areas of study conducted over 20 detailed sessions designed to develop the trainee with the skills necessary to succeed in the financial services industry and in field sales management. The 3 main areas of study are: 1) National Life Group organization, 2) Life Insurance and Annuity industry and 3) Successful Sales Management. Trainees will be expected to participate in group sessions, role playing, self study, work assignments, and testing. Incumbents must successfully complete each level of training in order to continue through the program and be selected for promotion.  Individuals selected for this role will typically begin their career in a position with the sales support team in our Montpelier Vermont Home Office. 



NOTES:

4 openings. Employer will assist with relocation costs. Starting salary varies by experience. Includes significant variable compensation incentives.

Key Responsibilities

 

•Perform daily operational tasks while rotating through the following departments: New Business and Customer Service, Broker Dealer, and Investment Management •Provide sales, marketing, and operational support to the internal and external wholesalers •Learn and operate the National Life Group’s financial planning software system •Travel with and provide support to Regional Vice Presidents during recruiting and sales visits •Be able to complete certification for Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) •Complete all required progress reports, testing, research projects, and presentations as assigned •Completion of licensing series 6 and series 26 •Gain the experience, knowledge, and skills necessary to fulfill the duties of the Regional Vice President role •Ability to relocate upon completion of program

Education / Experience

•Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration or related field •2-3 years financial services industry experience a plus
