Financial Analyst III

This position will assist in developing, implementing and maintaining controls and procedures required for

full compliance with SEC reporting requirements, including SEC regulation review including beneficial

ownership rules, 10Q & 10K filings, EDGAR system, proxy statements and disclosures such as current

events & management discussion & analysis. Position will also assist in maintaining accounting for

variable products and maintaining relationship with the various fund managers including maintaining and

monitoring the flow of information for daily trades between UVT and DTCC, maintaining contacts with

each of the fund managers to resolve discrepancies, reconciling fund balances daily, reconciling cash

clearing and suspense accounts daily, calculating and distributing unit prices daily and recording DTCC

fees. Additionally, this position will assist in providing information on the variable products, including

calculating the monthly reserve and asset pick up entries, providing Morningstar – Unit values, providing

the data needed to complete the annual reporting requirements including the Statutory statements and

the SEC (Prospectus & SAI) reports. This position will have contact with various service providers,

industry groups and all levels of management. The incumbent must be able to assist in developing and

implementing controls and procedures related to SEC and Variable reporting, able to follow procedure to

properly maintain the interface between the policy administration systems and DTCC. Must be able to

work with various variable product fund managers to resolve problems, be very cognizant of internal

controls and question the validity of data and possess strong oral and written communication skills.

Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in accounting or finance and 4-6 years of accounting

experience with at least 2 years of work within a mutual funds/variable products and/or SEC environment.

A CPA designation is preferred as is an FLMI. As this position has frequent contact with fund managers,

application developers, management, outside auditors and regulators, it is essential that the incumbent

be able to relate to and interact with various personalities.
