Summary

 

The Florida Marketing Representative has primary responsibility for developing, maintaining and managing the distribution system for GeoVera Specialty Insurance products.  The Marketing Representative creates and manages clear channels of communication between GeoVera Specialty and the agents in its distribution system in order to maximize business opportunities.  The Marketing Representative keeps abreast of the strengths and weaknesses of the market, competitors and the Company, including products, rates and services.  The Marketing Representative makes recommendations to senior management at GeoVera Specialty on ways to increase business opportunities in Florida and is primarily responsible for the profitable growth of GeoVera Specialty products in Florida through Hull & Company National Personal Lines.













Primary Duties and Responsibilities

 

·        Develops, maintains and works to improve relationship with key personnel within agencies, for the purpose of developing business opportunities.

 

·        Coordinates communication to agents and brokers to provide consistent and timely information, as well as provide critical information to business units regarding issues and opportunities with the distribution system.

 

·        Consults with business units while working directly with agents to resolve any issues or problems.

 

·        Identifies and directs mutual business opportunities in an effort to maximize business unit objectives.

 

·        Analyzes trend data and information to identify business opportunities, including but not limited to agency specific data.

 

·        Coordinates and implements the launching of new products in Florida.

 

·        Coordinates leadership and operational planning with agents.

 

·        Coordinates quality reviews and monitors/reports results.

 

·        Gathers and maintains territorial information on agents and disseminates this information to the business units.

 

·        Consults with business units, as needed, on special requests or projects.

 

·        Enforces the ethical and legal standards of insurance regulations with its agents.

 

 

Minimum Requirements

 

·        Bachelor degree or equivalent (CPCU or CIC Designation)

 

·        Minimum 7 years experience in the Property/Casualty insurance industry, particularly Personal Lines Homeowners

 

·        Comprehensive knowledge of industry practices, company and agency operations, and insurance distribution channels

 

·        Experience in using various automation tools and systems to effectively support distribution system management

 

·        Ability to work independently and must be able to travel to producer locations throughout Florida

 

·        Focused on achieving goals through the management of distribution system

 

·        Solid organization, marketing and sales skills

 

·        Strong decision making and negotiation skills

 

·        Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
