The incumbent will apply applicable claim provisions, evaluate and investigate claims, processes and adjudicate claims, and reinsurance, if applicable. Other responsibilities include investigating contestable/fraudulent claims with duplicate coverage; handle subrogation actions; monitors medical claims procedures in branch offices, as appropriate. They will also be responsible for coordinating refunds with NY Accounting Dept and Home Office Administration; Audits and reviews complex medical claims; provide technical guidance and direction to less experienced examiners; audits work and trains, as required. The Group Leader will also assign and direct the work of a group of examiners and perform General Teal Leader Duties as defined by the Life Division. They will identify training need and assists supervisor in training new examiners, audit team/individual performance, and monitors claims volume/procedures in branch offices worldwide. Other duties, as assigned may also be required. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, and 5 years of progressive medical claims experience. They must have knowledge of applicable claims systems and knowledge of medical terminology. About AIG: American International Group, Inc.
