Group Sales Assistant This position reports to the Sales Support Center Team Leader.  The incumbent is responsible for entry level presale functions and will work closely with a designated sales office.  The Group Sales Assistant is responsible for working with the field sales force in preparing our systems to release sales proposals to our customers.  The position involves data entry, reviewing sales requests, responding to customer inquiries and other clerical duties, as required.  Ideal candidate qualifications include minimum high school/GED degree, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task while working in a fast paced environment, must be detail-oriented to produce accurate, high-quality work, display a strong sense of urgency, can work both independently and as a team player, proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel, and strong typing skills.·  Categorize incoming requests for proposal documents in SAS.·  Check for duplicate quotes.·  Send out of territory notices when appropriate.·  Send out DTQ (Decline to Quote) notices to brokers.·  Update Solar Producer Database.·  Work with underwriting to verify SIC codes and industry factors.·  Process sales rep changes on inforce block of business.·  Order office supplies, answers phones, filing.·  Coordination of voluntary packets.·  Scan materials.·  Develops relationships with the Sales Representatives supported.·  Develops relationships with support team in Group Offices.May perform other office functions as required. Strong verbal and written communication skills.Knowledge of Word and Excel. Strong computer skills.Must be detail-oriented to produce accurate, high-quality work.Able to follow directions.Works well with others to accomplish objectives.Understands goals and how this position contributes to accomplishing them.Minimum high school/GED degree.No  travel required.
