Location Jersey City, NJ 07310 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Human Resources Relevant Work Experience: 5+ to 7 Years Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) HR Benefits Analyst / Specialist The HR Benefits Specialist position is responsible for assisting the Benefits Manager in day-to-day operations and administration of group benefit programs.  This position is also responsible for reporting, records maintenance, creation and maintenance of forms and communications. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION: ► Administer the day-to-day functions of active benefits for all employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, disability, workers compensation, life insurance, 401k and stock option plan► Ensure that new hires and current employees are enrolled for benefit coverage as elected► Coordinate with Payroll to insure employee deductions begin/change in a timely manner► Coordinate workers compensation, disability and FMLA leaves working closely with employees, Management, HR Representatives and vendors to insure timely notifications and payroll adjustments..► Assist in COBRA administration.  Serve as liaison for 3rd party COBRA administrator, including preparation of electronic transmission of data to trigger COBRA notifications.► Coordinate annual programs such as Charitable Giving Drive, Matching Gifts Program and US Savings Bond Drive► Verify and process life insurance; counsel beneficiaries on policies and procedures for death disbursements; follow up with insurance carriers to ensure timely processing► Administer in-house orientation using MS PowerPoint presentation► Maintain updated forms and communications► Maintain vendor relationships and update contact information as necessary► Assists Benefits Manager during annual open enrollment periods► Perform other assignments and projects as requested KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: ► Bachelor’s degree plus three to five (3-5) years related benefits administration experience required.  CEBS and PHR professional designation preferred.► Knowledge of pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefit programs including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, Workers Compensation, Medicare, OBRA, Social Security and DOL requirements required.► Excellent communication and organization skills required► Strong analytical skills and knowledge of plan designs required► Experience with multiple plans and remote locations preferred ► Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates.  Strong ability to plan effectively and prioritize tasks.  Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.► Must have strong computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Experience with PeopleSoft or other HRIS software preferred.► Knowledge of benefit contract language and benefit plan design preferred.  We offer a competitive salary and benefits package including 401(k).  For consideration, please send your resume which MUST include salary requirements to: jbrienza@ISO.com .  We can only respond to candidates selected for consideration.  An equal opportunity employer.  To find out more about ISO visit us at: www.ISO.com.
